Toneelvereniging Herman Heijermans Olst – teacher – school year 2019/2020 and 2020/2021

Giving theater lessons to children aged 8 to 17 and working towards a performance for parents/carers and other interested parties.

Performances:

Year 2019/2020

Kleine Herman (8 to 12 years old), a performance called: ‘The butler certainly didn’t do it’. A crime scene where the pearl is stolen from the Duchess, who did it? In this performance, all children were given a very typical character that they were allowed to play as large as possible.

Young Herman (13 to 15 years old), a performance called: ‘Vla en Ranja’. Creating a performance about a new world. The students made their own scenes in advance that I used to make the final performance.

Year 2020/2021:

Kleine Herman (8 to 12 years old), a performance called: ‘Romeo and Julia (but different)’. An adaptation of Shakespeare’s famous play, but told by children aged 8 to 12. Including waving to mom, dramatic sword fights and finding out how much drama there is in the play.

Jonge Herman together with Herman Junior (13 to 17 years old), a performance called: ‘Op hoop van zale (generation Z)’. A very free adaptation of Herman Heijermans’ piece. In which everyone could decide for themselves which character they wanted to be, what they wanted to say and how that was told. (I made this performance together with Geoffrey Haynes)
