'Storm in my Head' is a music theater production freely based on the novel 'Bint' by F. Bordewijk. The performance was specially made for the students of secondary education in the province of Overijssel and Gelderland.
The story:
The students of class 4d are tucked away in the basement of the school. The director has put together all the students he thinks have failed due to lack of intelligence, lack of a warm home or lack of beauty. The class is ruled with an iron hand, an iron discipline imposed. Discipline and regularity become the measure. Deviant behavior or dissenting opinions will not be tolerated. The story is told from class 4d itself. With text, percussion and urban dance, the class gets its own form and voice. Class and teacher enter into a power struggle between chaos and discipline, between individuality and discipline.
In addition to professionals, the cast consists of talented young people from Overijssel and Gelderland.
