Based on the true story of a feral girl who was found 300 years ago in the woods around Zwolle. She could not speak and only ate food that she could find in nature. She was called the Wild Wench. Who was this 'Wench van Zwolle'? Where did she come from and how did she survive alone for over 17 years?
In 'De Wilde Deerne' the wolf girl of Zwolle comes to life. We see her grow up in a bizarre world where everything is new and strange. Through her encounters with others and her bravery, she finds her way and matures.
About the fear of the unknown, the power of humor and the beauty of curiosity. About wonderful encounters with all kinds of people and creatures. About the importance of an open mind and imagination.
Because today's imagination is tomorrow's reality.
De Wilde Deerne is a family performance for everyone aged 8 and older in which the story of a wolf girl is told in a fascinating way. The production is made and supported by the many talents that Zwolle has to offer, in collaboration with Theater Gnaffel, De Jongehonden, Theater de Makkers, TEN Productions and Wim Coster, among others.
